Celebs numbers sold after Mutu loses phone

TELEPHONE numbers of the world’s leading soccer stars as well as other famous people are being sold over the internet by a Romanian student after she found a mobile phone belonging to shamed ex-Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu.

The phone that was full of erotic sms messages and a short film showing a sexy brunette was packed with numbers of stars like Pele and Ronaldo.

Mutu, who was ditched by Chelsea after testing positive for cocaine, lost his mobile phone last year at a disco in Bucharest. The student, named only as Mihaela S, said she realised whose phone it was when she switched it on, a message saying “Mutu, Il Grande” appeared on the screen and she found the phone numbers of stars like Pele, Maradona, Ronaldo and Marcel Desailly, local daily Libertatea reported.

Mihaela said: “I browsed the phone numbers and that is when I started to suspect it was Mutu’s. The erotic messages that were received later on the phone convinced me that it was his.

“It was not only players numbers that I had but also of local important politicians. I realised I could make some money out of it so I started to sell them. Boys were interested in the numbers of football players but girls also didn’t hesitate to pay for singer Eros Ramazzotti’s number as well.”

Mutu confirmed that he lost his mobile last year while on his way to a local club. He said: “It slipped when I got out of a car but I only realised later. I had all those numbers but I had numbers of even more famous people as well.”

Mihaela sold the phone for 350 but kept the SIM card. He also had lots of pictures with his son.

“He got so many SMS messages from women in the few days I kept the phone. There was also a phone number of American singer Blu Cantrell.” Mutu confirmed he met Blu Cantrell at a party in London but “never heard from her after”.
