Border deal between Indonesia and East Timor

INDONESIAN Foreign Minister Hasan Wirayuda said yesterday that Indonesia and East Timor expect to come to an agreement on their land border before October.

Speaking after a two-hour meeting with his East Timor counterpart Jose Ramos Horta on the resort island of Bali, Wirayuda added the two did not specifically discuss the recent mounting calls for an international tribunal to try Indonesian military officers for past abuses in East Timor.
