EXTRAORDINARY allegations that the British Government may have deliberately altered an intelligence dossier on weapons on mass destruction to justify war with Iraq led to furious exchanges in the House of Commons yesterday.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair has again denied that intelligence documents on Iraq's weapons programmes were changed.

Announcing that parliament's all-party intelligence and security committee would be conducting an inquiry into the row, Mr Blair said the allegations were "completely and totally untrue".
