THE only known first-class ticket in existence for the Titanic’s doomed maiden voyage was unveiled yesterday.

The ticket belonged to the Rev John Holden, a Liverpool vicar who planned to sail on the luxury liner, but cancelled at the last minute when his wife fell ill.

After the ship sank in April 1912, he mounted the ticket in a cardboard frame on which he wrote: “Who redeemeth thy life from destruction.”
