Man executed in Missouri

A MAN who fatally stabbed his grandmother more than 30 times to get cash for crack cocaine was executed earlier yesterday in the US state of Missouri.

Donald Jones, 38, died by injection at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Centre. Governor Matt Blunt refused to grant clemency despite a recommendation to do so by the state parole board.
