Priceless’ Beatles tapes recovered after police smash piracy racket

A HAUL of 500 original Beatles tapes stolen in the 1970s and containing tracks which have never been released were found yesterday after British police cracked a piracy racket.

Police said the tapes were “priceless” and the only recordings from them which have ever been heard before were on bootlegs.

Six people were arrested in raids in west London and in Holland as a result of the investigation.
