Probe launched into British army officer’s conduct during war in Iraq

MILITARY chiefs were under pressure last night to drop an investigation into a high-profile British Army officer’s conduct during the war in Iraq.

As colleagues closed ranks around Lieutenant Colonel Tim Collins, there was growing anger at the allegations made against him by a US officer.

MPs also warned of possible damage to the transatlantic military alliance because of the complaint.
