Financials lead stocks recovery

THE ISEQ index gained ground yesterday as the banking sector strengthened. The Dublin exchange ended the day up 58.01 points at 7957.82.

Financials lead stocks recovery

The financials lead the march on the market yesterday as AIB closed up 8c to €19.28 and Bank of Ireland added 12c to €15.16. In the second line Anglo climbed 24c to €13.69 while Irish Life & Permanent remained unchanged at €18.40.

In construction, CRH rose 35c to €28.15 while Kingspan also move ahead on the day, up 10c to €12.20. Grafton
