Law reduced to tears after visiting Best

FORMER football star Denis Law last night wept after seeing ex-team-mate George Best lying gravely ill in a hospital bed, as fans prayed for the fellow Manchester United legend.

Club boss Alex Ferguson said United supporters are rooting for Best to pull through, as the 59-year-old lies attached to a ventilator, suffering from internal bleeding.

The former Northern Ireland player’s doctor said earlier yesterday that he was a “little better”, but added that there was still a long way to go.
