Corkscrews with arms tops best innovations poll

EASY-to-use corkscrews have topped a list of products which have improved everyday life in the last two decades, it emerged yesterday.

Corkscrews with ‘arms’ to help open wine bottles were voted number one from a list of 50 items and services.

Disposable nappies and television remote controls came in second and third place in the ‘usable design’ poll.
