BELGIAN child rapist Marc Dutroux withdrew his ban on being photographed yesterday but lashed out at the media as his trial for a shocking spate of abductions, rapes and murders resumed for a second week.

The unemployed electrician said he had been “sold” since his 1996 arrest for crimes which convulsed Belgium and shocked the world.

Dutroux had asked not to be filmed when his trial opened last week in the southeastern town of Arlon. But his lawyers said he had changed his mind after a public outcry.
