SOME comedians really were born to make people laugh - a new survey has found Cancerians are the funniest star sign.

A study of more than 300 comic performers in Britain revealed the greatest proportion of them were born under the sign of Cancer.

Ricky Gervais and Peter Kay were both born between June 23 and July 23.
