Woman charged with child cruelty

A 34-YEAR-OLD woman was charged with child cruelty after allegedly leaving her two young children home alone while she watched England’s friendly match against Spain in Madrid.

The woman, from the Bartley Green area of Birmingham, was arrested with a 36-year-old man, who is believed to be her current partner but not the children’s father, when they returned to Birmingham International Airport on Thursday night.
