Star-crossed lovers to join space explorers for Europe's cosmic fest

STAR-STRUCK couples are expected to collect in their thousands on St Valentine's night for a special introduction to the stars.

Astronomers, astronauts, and old-fashioned stargazers will be on hand to help them explore the romance of the night sky.

The giant star party is just one of a series of events during the first international Earth and Space week organised by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Union.
