Two die as World War II bomb explodes

INVESTIGATORS were working yesterday to determine what caused a World War II bomb to explode killing two Austrian experts were about to defuse it in Salzburg’s main train station.

A third bomb disposal expert, who was seriously injured in yesterday's blast, was in critical but stable condition.

State television reported that the men had started lifting the bomb to expose its detonator when it blew up leaving a 20ft deep crater.
