Roads face attack of robot cones

MOTORISTS may soon face the nightmarish vision of herds of animated traffic cones closing down motorway lanes and exit routes, it was revealed yesterday.

Even though it sounds like a bad dream, the invasion of the robot cones could really happen.

The self-propelled road markers are being developed in the US to cut the cost of highway lane closures.
