THE Revenue Commissioners has issued a framework on how it and large business taxpayers can co-operate to promote a greater degree of tax compliance.

The ‘Co-operative Approach to Tax Compliance’ document, issued yesterday, puts forward a blueprint on how both parties can work more closely in order to achieve “the highest possible level” of compliance across the taxes for which particular businesses need to account.

This approach is increasingly becoming a feature of the relationship between big business and Revenue administrations worldwide.
