Korean farmers riot over trade pact

SOUTH KOREAN farmers and riot police clashed yesterday as thousands rallied to urge parliament not to ratify a free trade agreement with Chile.

The farmers claim the agreement would drive them out of business by flooding the market with cheaper foreign products.
