Bin Laden tried to flood US with poisoned cocaine, paper claims
His plan failed when Colombian drugs barons told the terror chief it would be bad for their business, according to the New York Post.
The newspaper said it had reviewed a document detailing a US probe into the aborted transaction and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s findings. Bin Laden allegedly met leaders of a Colombian drugs cartel in 2002, just months after the September 11 attack, and said he was willing to pay tens of millions of dollars for tons of cocaine.
