Resistance continues in Umm Qasr

IRAQI resistance continued in the southern port town of Umm Qasr and on the northern edge of the Al Faw peninsula last night.

The resistance continued over four days after coalition forces claimed to have captured both the town and the peninsula.

Royal Marines and Commando-trained Royal Engineers last night rolled into the Umm Qasr battle zone with plans to finish off the remaining resistance.
