UK divorcee says £7.5m not enough

DIVORCEE Shan Lambert is not entitled to half her ex-husband Harry’s fortune because she did not make an equal contribution to the family business, her husband’s lawyer told Britain’s Court of Appeal yesterday.

Mrs Lambert, 50, received one of the largest divorce settlements in British legal history over £7.5m but wants another £2.6m in cash.

The woman, who was married for 23 years to the founder of the Adscene newspaper chain, claims she was equally responsible for building up the business which was sold for £20 million.

Last year, Mrs Lambert was awarded the family home worth £1.4m and the accompanying Ringleton Lodge, worth £250,000. She was also allowed to keep assets worth £2.8m and was given a lump sum of £3.2m.
