Beatles sue record company over €44m unpaid royalties

THE surviving members of The Beatles and relatives of the late band members, John Lennon and George Harrison, have issued legal proceedings against record company EMI for the recovery of over £30 million (€44.2m) in unpaid royalties, they announced today.

Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and relatives of John Lennon and George Harrison have taken their battle to the High Court.

They allege EMI owes more than £30m in record royalties to their company Apple Corps Ltd.
