THE United States and Britain said yesterday the Bali bombing, far from distracting them from their campaign against Iraq, made them more determined than ever to pursue their war on terrorism.

"We will not be deterred and we will do everything we can to remove this scourge from the world and we are reunited in that purpose once again," US Secretary of State Colin Powell said after talks with British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.

Mr Straw, who talks with Mr Powell almost every day about attempts to secure a new UN Security Council resolution on Iraq, said the world faced a triple threat from weapons of mass destruction, rogue and failed states, and international terrorism.
