Bulgaria for sale

BULGARIAN MPs submitted a draft bill yesterday that would allow foreigners to buy land as part of efforts to bring the Balkan country’s laws in line with the standards of the European Union, which it hopes to join in 2007.

The draft legislation was approved last week by all MPs in a parliamentary panel for constitutional amendments, making the future vote in parliament a formality.
