Israeli tanks move into Arafat’s base

ISRAELI tanks entered Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat’s headquarters compound in the West Bank town of Ramallah last night in reprisal for a suicide bomb attack on a Tel Aviv bus that left six people dead

The Israeli military had no immediate comment but officials confirmed that an operation was underway.

Palestinian officials said two guards were injured during the incursion.
