Two Italians die in landslides

TWO Italians were killed in landslides over the weekend as fierce storms pounded the country, causing floods that slowed trains, cut off traffic and forced hundreds of people to evacuate their homes.

Rescue teams near the northern city of Lecco yesterday found the bodies of the two Italians, in their 70s, who were killed when a landslide swept over their house.
