Portrait of pregnant supermodel set to fetch over €5m

A LUCIEN FREUD portrait of a heavily pregnant and naked Kate Moss is expected to fetch up to €5.25 million at auction, say analysts.

The near-lifesize, full- length portrait of the supermodel will form part of Christie’s Post-War and Contemporary Art sale next year.

With the exception of the Queen, the model is probably the most famous figure to be painted by Freud, now 81 and widely regarded as Britain’s greatest living artist.
