Speeding offences rise as motorists defy limits

A DRAMATIC surge in speeding offences over the past two months was revealed in new figures released yesterday.

The Department of Transport statistics confirmed motorists are still taking chances with the penalty points system.

There was also a sharp increase in the number of licences endorsed last month.
