Five US troops killed in road blast

FIVE US Marines have been killed in a roadside bomb blast in western Iraq.

The marines were killed on Thursday while conducting combat operations near the volatile Anbar province town of Haqlaniyah, 90 miles northwest of Baghdad, the US military said.

The marines were assigned to the Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
