NEW laws continually promised by the Government to reduce spiralling insurance costs have not even been drafted yet, it was confirmed last night.

Despite vows by the Cabinet yesterday to roll out a series of measures to reduce inflation and promote competitiveness in the coming weeks, vital legislation aimed at reforming the insurance market won't even be published before the summer.

Significant increases in insurance costs are acknowledged as a major factor in reducing the competitiveness of companies and also has an impact on inflation levels.
