Taliban killings in Kandahar

SUSPECTED Taliban shot dead two Afghan aid workers and one soldier and injured several others during raids in a district near the southern city of Kandahar, officials said yesterday.

The attacks on an aid agency compound, government office and local security headquarters occurred late Monday night in the Panjwayi area about 50 kilometres (about 30 miles) west of Kandahar, the city’s military spokesman General Abdul Wasay said.
