Businessman offers €5,000 to clear up sex slur

Letters claiming toyshop owner Daithí O’Connor sexually assaulted a young girl in a Dublin hotel were sent to his staff and others who know him. Mr O’Connor, who is in his thirties and lives in Tralee, Co Kerry, said he decided to go public about the letters to dismiss the rumours and appeal to anyone who may have information about the source to come forward.

The letters, which allege the incident took place in 1999, were sent by group calling itself ‘No Nonse’.
