Families’ anger at defence ministry

DEFENCE ministry coroners tasked with identifying 30 Spanish soldiers killed in a plane crash in Turkey got all 30 wrong, relatives of victims said yesterday.

Calls mounted for Federico Trillo, defence minister of the conservative government in power at the time of the May 2003 accident, to resign from his seat in parliament.

Families who were given the wrong body are studying how to go about exhuming remains and transferring them to the right mourners.
