Blair urges US to ‘listen as well as lead’

HISTORY will forgive the coalition invasion of Iraq even if no link is proven between terrorism and weapons of mass destruction, British Prime Minister Tony Blair said last night.

And he urged the United States to "listen as well as lead" in the continuing struggle against forces who seek to disrupt the world order.

Mr Blair was speaking to a joint meeting of Congress in Washington, on the first leg of a marathon round the world diplomatic mission which will also take him to Japan, South Korea, China and Hong Kong.
