Treaty revisal

THE European Commission is likely to find itself under increasing pressure to revise the Kyoto protocol on climate change.

Heads of the biggest political group in the European Parliament, the European People’s Party (EPP) meeting in Athens on Friday heard several demands that a fresh look be taken at the faltering Treaty.

They were urged by Spanish Foreign Minister, Ana de Palacio, to think again as the Treaty could handicap European industry.
