Mystery sub sneaks into Israel

A FOREIGN submarine sneaked into Israeli waters last week and escaped without being identified, a military spokeswoman said today.

The mystery craft was discovered within three miles of Nahariya, a Mediterranean coastal town near the border with Lebanon.

“The navy spotted and tracked last week an underwater target which was identified as a submarine,” the spokeswoman said.
