Bush 9/11 ‘propaganda’ film lashed

A MADE-FOR-TV movie about the immediate response of US President George W Bush to the events of September 11, 2001, will be screened on US television tomorrow, just days before the second anniversary of the attacks.

The docudrama “DC 9/11: Time of Crisis”, which will be shown on the Showtime cable channel, has already come in for some preview criticism, including accusations of serving as a propaganda vehicle for the president.

The film, starring Timothy Bottoms as Mr Bush, attempts to dramatise the events and emotions that guided the president and his administration during the immediate aftermath of the terrorist attacks.
