Arafat calls for immediate publication of ‘road map’

PALESTINIAN President Yasser Arafat called for the immediate publication of the Middle East ‘road map’ peace plan now that a Palestinian cabinet has been named, according to a newspaper interview published yesterday.

“The immediate publication and execution of the road map is indispensable,” Arafat told Spain’s ABC newspaper.

The US, Russia, the United Nations and the European Union have crafted the road map, which calls for creating a Palestinian state by 2005.
