Farmers targeted in new safety campaign

THE tragedy of farm fatalities and the effects on the people left behind is being highlighted in a hard-hitting campaign which began on national television last night.

Every farm household in the country is also being sent a farm safety self-assessment document by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA).

The €250,000 HSA initiative is aimed at curbing the deaths and injuries, which bring misery and heartbreak to families each year.
