Woman with two wombs has twins

TWINS have been born two months apart to a Romanian woman with two wombs. Doctors say Romanian Maricia Tescu has made medical history by giving birth to the second twin this week, 59 days after delivering his brother Catalin on December 11.

Ms Tescu's story is all the more unique because the twins developed separately in each of the wombs, and she was told eight years ago that she would never have any more children after a miscarriage led doctors to conclude she had been left infertile.

But instead, Ms Tescu, a 33-year-old botanist who works at the botanical gardens in Iasi, is now the proud mother of two baby boys.
