Ambush death in Pakistan

A PROMINENT pro-government tribal elder wounded in an ambush in Pakistan’s tribal region has died.

Assailants waiting in a car opened fire with assault rifles on Abdur Rahman Wazir’s vehicle on Saturday after it drove away from a military base in Wana, the main town in South Waziristan.
