Blair calls for time of reflection

FRANCE’S rejection of the EU constitution poses a “profound” question about Europe’s future, British Prime Minister Tony Blair said yesterday.

However, Mr Blair insisted it was too early to rule out a British referendum on the treaty, calling for “time for reflection.”

But he said the treaty had failed to address ordinary people’s concerns such as job security and public services.
