a Hindu mob yesterday in India’s Gujarat state where security forces were trying to prevent sectarian violence after a massacre at a Hindu temple.
Hindu nationalists, who had called for a national strike to protest against the raid, were on the streets of Baroda town, carrying weapons and shouting anti-Pakistan slogans.
Police in the town of Surat said the Muslim man who was stabbed there had been taken to hospital.
