Stars come out in force for Meteor awards

A HOST of international and Irish celebrities gathered in Dublin last night for the Meteor Ireland Music Awards at the Point Depot.

Big names such as music legend Lionel Richie, Westlife, Queen of the Jungle Kerry McFadden, Coronation Street's Keith Duffy, TV presenter Caroline Morahan, Miss World Rosanna Davison and comedienne Deirdre O'Kane attended.

"It means absolutely everything, I've been doing a lot of work abroad so it's great to be recognised at home. I really didn't expect to win, I was just here for the craic. I would have worn a dress if I had known," joked winner Cara Dillon.
