Job cuts are necessary, says Dairygold

TROUBLED food and dairy group Dairygold will tell the Labour Relations Commission today that the 500 job cuts announced last week are necessary to save the business.

Staff at Dairygold have until 5 o’clock this evening to express their interest in the company’s voluntary redundancy programme.

The company told employees last week that there would be no extensions to the deadline.
