US set to display Libya arms

THE White House will put on display for the first time components of Libya's nuclear-arms program, including centrifuge parts surrendered to the Bush administration.

The components were flown from Libya to the heavily-guarded Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee in late January as part of an agreement to rid Tripoli of its weapons of mass destruction.

The White House will bring reporters to the Oak Ridge complex for a first-hand look at some of the “declassified” items from that 55,000 pounds (25,000 kg) shipment.
