New mum Julia sits pretty on top of earner's list

JULIA ROBERTS has kept her place as Hollywood's top woman earner but Jennifer Lopez has slipped down the league after a year of flop films, including Jersey Girl and Gigli.

Lopez dropped from ninth to 10th place in the Hollywood Reporter’s list.

The original Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts, who recently gave birth to twins, remained in top spot, where she can demand a whopping €14.9 million per movie.

It was Renee Zellweger who bumped J-Lo down one place, after recent successes in Cold Mountain and the second Bridget Jones film. Both actresses can make just over €8.7m per film, but Zellweger has had the most movie success in recent months.

Returning in second place was Charlie’s Angels star Cameron Diaz - the only other actress to earn €14.9m a film. Diaz, girlfriend to pop star Justin Timberlake, has not been seen on the big screen this year, but gave a voice to Princess Fiona in the hugely popular Shrek 2. Next year, Diaz will return to cinemas with In Her Shoes.

Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Drew Barrymore came third, fourth and fifth respectively, each commanding nearly €11.6m per film.

Halle Berry’s €10.4m salary kept her in sixth place, while Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie took seventh and eighth, with per-movie payouts ranging from €8.7m to €11.6m.

Those noticeably absent were Jodie Foster, Meg Ryan, Gwyneth Paltrow and Michelle Pfeiffer.
