NEARLY 10,000 people had to find an alternative way of getting to work in Dublin yesterday when Dart services were disrupted by a major overhead line fault.

Fortunately, the fault was rectified in the afternoon and services fully restored in time for homeward bound travellers.

Rail services between Bray and Dalkey were closed after 5pm on Wednesday evening after significant damage to overhead lines at Shankill.
