Bohemians captain Dawson Devoy may have played his last game for the club after being hit with an additional ban that rules him out of the title chase run-in.
The FAI today released their weekly suspension list that primarily covered the fallout from a melee at full-time of last Monday’s week derby at Tallaght.
Of the four personnel dismissed, on top of their automatic one-match ban served last Friday, Devoy and his assistant manager Stephen O’Donnell have been hit with an extra two matches to sit out.
That covers their final two games, at home to Waterford on Friday and away to St Patrick’s Athletic seven days later.
For Rovers, who lead Bohs by three points at the summit, Naj Razi will also incur an additional two matches but Michael Noonan has only shipped one following a review of video evidence.
It transpires that another participant in the fracas, over and above the four sent off, has been hit hardest.
Former Bohemians winger Danny Grant didn’t feature in the game but will have his four-match punishment prolong into next season.
Devoy, who made his Ireland debut as a starter against Canada in June, has produced another stellar season of form, swelling his list of admirers from abroad. He remains under contract but the Gypsies may be tempted by an offer over the winter window.
