Soccer roundup: Mbuemo on the double, Tonali's first for Spurs, losing start for Maresca

Bryan Mbeumo’s double earned Manchester United a 2-1 friendly victory over Atletico Madrid in Stockholm on Saturday.
United fell behind early on when Arnau Ortiz’s attempted cross found its way into the net.
But Michael Carrick’s team levelled eight minutes after half-time when impressive youngster Shea Lacey was fouled in the box and Mbeumo netted from the penalty spot.
The striker then bundled in a second in the 74th minute and United held on despite Atletico hitting the post twice, with much-hyped 15-year-old JJ Gabriel coming on for his first-team debut.
The Red Devils plays Leeds United in Croke Park on August 12th in another pre-season friendly.
Elsewhere, Enzo Maresca watched his Manchester City side lose on penalties to Inter Milan in his first match in charge after a 1-1 draw.
Phil Foden captained the team in Hong Kong in a vote of confidence for the England man after a difficult final season under Pep Guardiola.
Youngster Divin Mubama tapped in the opener in the 14th minute after excellent work down the left from Antoine Semenyo but Benjamin Pavard equalised six minutes later.
That proved to be the end of the scoring despite a lively performance from City teenager Ryan McAidoo and Inter emerged 3-1 winners on penalties after Nico Gonzalez, Abdukodir Khusanov and Rayan Ait-Nouri all missed.
Meanwhile, Tottenham record-signing Sandro Tonali scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 friendly victory over Chelsea in Sydney.
The £100m (€117m) midfielder fired Spurs ahead in the 17th minute when his effort from outside the area deflected into the bottom corner.
Estevao equalised for Chelsea and Spurs had Kevin Danso sent off four minutes into the second half.
But Richarlison snatched a winner for 10-man Spurs in stoppage time.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side open their Premier League campaign at Brentford on August 22.
